Marriage Renewal Weekend – One weekend in February

Marriage Renewal supports the Sacrament of Matrimony by providing opportunities for couples to experience God’s unconditional love. Renewing and nurturing marriages couples are motivated to share their gifts in active service to their parish and the greater community.

Marriage Renewal Weekend is for all married couples regardless of their background. The program accepts couples where “they are now” and builds from there. It is effective at all stages of marriage. Non-Catholics or Catholics who have been minimally involved would feel comfortable and very welcome. Marriage Renewal is also especially appropriate for engaged couples who are entering into a second marriage.

The program “works” because real people, just like you, lead it!  Read more about Marriage Renewal.

St. Theresa Guild

If you want to join with other parish women who meet monthly to enjoy each other’s company, broaden their horizons with interesting and varied programs, and provide services for our parish and our community, the St. Theresa’s Guild might be the group for you.

We meet at 10:00 am on the 4th Thursday of the month (except for November, when we meet on the 3rd Thursday). A short business meeting is followed by a program, then a light lunch. Programs for this year include Scarf tying, Sing Along with Wit & Humor, a Macy’s fashion show, Spiritual talks for advent and lent, and our Christmas, spring and summer luncheons. Check the parish bulletin for information on each month’s meeting. Visitors are always welcome.

Among the services provided by our members for the parish are assisting with refreshments at receptions following funerals and other events and helping with decorating the church. Our community activities include providing meals for the Crossroads Meal Program, donating goods to Hospitality House and preparing Christmas toiletries bags for senior citizens. We also contribute financially to a seminarian, St. Mary’s Food Bank, St. Francis House, Sacred Heart Radio and special needs as they occur. We raise money within our group by raffles at our meetings and our annual “Fund Raiser” the Auction.

We’d be very happy to have you join us. For further information you may call Jo Sciola 425 641-4351.  Please see our 2010-11 brochure of events.
