Women's Lenten Retreat

St. Madeleine Sophie Women’s Spirituality

Lenten Retreat 2017

March 10 & 11

Theme: “Lean Into Christ”

Lent offers us all an opportunity to take time “away” from our busy days and to pause. It is a time of discipline, and of freedom from self-interest and fear. All that is required is that we long after God and set our priorities in right order. Susan Burdett will offer this opportunity to reflect on meditation, prayer, fasting, and study so that we may celebrate our Risen Lord at Easter.
Susan Burdett is currently director of faith formation at St. Luke Parish. She has been an elementary school principal at Our Lady of Fatima School in Seattle for 28 years. Prior to that she has taught primary grades and high school students. She has worked in leadership in the dioceses of Boise and Salt Lake City. She is a faculty member of the Seattle Archdiocesan Catechist Certification Program. It is to her great joy that she is able to use her gifts in faith formation for all age levels. Susan has received both the Archdiocesan Archbishop’s Award for education and the Sister Mary Taylor Award for Outstanding Service to Catholic Schools.
