We have been told by the clinic they will have the new booster by the 25th.
BIVALENT
The new formulations of Moderna and Pfizer booster vaccine named Bivalent or "updated booster" got FDA & the CDC approval this week. Both bivalent COVID-19 vaccines are expected to provide increased protection against the recent circulating omicron variants.
Who will be eligible to receive a single booster dose and when:
Individuals 18 years of age and older are eligible for a single booster dose of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine Bivalent if it has been at least two months since they completed the primary vaccination or received the prior booster dose of monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.
Individuals 12 years of age and older are eligible for a single booster dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Bivalent if it has been at least two months since they completed the primary vaccination or received the prior booster dose of monovalent COVID-19 vaccine.
So far these are still offered for FREE but with federal funding drying up, likely, it will not be long before a booster comes with a price tag.
